Courtside at Taunton: November Edition
New Advanced Open Play, cold-weather reminders & meet Colleen and Dieter
The November edition of Courtside at Taunton has landed! Read on to see what’s happening at Fairgrounds Taunton.

In-Club News at Fairgrounds Taunton
New Wednesday Advanced Open Play: We’ve added an Advanced Open Play on Wednesdays from 6–8pm, running alongside our existing Intermediate Open Play. It gives advanced players another chance to get on court, while Intermediate Open Play stays available for those who prefer that level. See you on the courts!
Book your holiday party at Fairgrounds: Prime November and December dates are filling fast. Our Events Team handles everything, from game formats and scheduling to food, drinks and on-site support, so all you do is pick a date.

Facility Updates
A quick reminder as we head into colder weather: A few small habits help keep our courts clean, safe and in great condition:
- Indoor shoes only on the courts: please change out of your outdoor footwear before stepping onto the playing surface. See our House Rules.
- Change your shoes in the lounge: with wet, muddy and snowy weather on the way, this keeps the courts as clean and dry as possible.
- Coats belong on the coat rack: please leave jackets and outerwear in the designated area, not on the courts or around the club.
These little things make a big difference. Thanks for helping us take care of our space!

Events, Leagues and New Programming
A note from your GM: November is a great time to keep building your routine, get more games in and connect with other players at Fairgrounds Taunton. We’re always looking for ways to improve your experience, so if there’s a program you’d like to see or feedback you’d like to share, feel free to reach out. Thanks for being part of our community!

Member Spotlight
This month we’re shining the spotlight on Colleen and Dieter, two members who have become such a valued part of our Fairgrounds Taunton community. Colleen has been with us since the early days, showing up to play and helping make our club what it is today. Over time, she brought Dieter along to share in the fun, and together they’ve become a familiar and much-loved presence on our courts.
They bring great energy to the club and help make Fairgrounds a place people enjoy coming back to, not just for the game but for the people too. Members like Colleen and Dieter are a huge part of what makes Fairgrounds Taunton feel like a community rather than simply a place to play.
Thank you, Colleen and Dieter, for your support, positivity and time. We’re so lucky to have you both as part of our Fairgrounds family, and we look forward to many more games and great memories together!
